Overview
Since my work on the passive green machine chip, I’ve been working with the same team on an active version of the chip. I’m more of a collaborator than a primary lead on this project, but I’ve made some contributions to the team. Specifically, I designed the couplers and crossover waveguides, helped select the electronic integration modules to drive the on-chip modulators, and continue to meet with collaborators to discuss active work on the fabrication and packaging of the photonic integrated circuit.
Since this work is ongoing, and has recently hit some snags, I don’t have much to share here (and can’t share everything I have), but it’s a great opportunity to work on a team and help take a design from the early concept stage to a packaged module.
